This was my first time visiting the Celine Hawaii store and I almost blew my year’s savings on a new bag. To be honest, I’ve heard a little bit of Celine but never took too much interest in it. That’s until Lisa from Blackpink (any other Blackpink fans out there?!) became a global ambassador for the brand and now I’m kind of obsessed. I guess celebrity marketing does work (lol). So, on my last trip to Oahu back in October, I decided to step foot in the store to check it out and I’m glad to report back my findings!

 

 

Celine Hawaii Location

Currently, there’s only one Celine location in Hawaii and it’s located on the island of Oahu in the Ala Moana Shopping Center. There used to be a location on the Waikiki strip but unfortunately due to COVID, it seems that it’s temporarily shut down.

 

Is it Cheaper to Buy Celine in Hawaii?

The general answer to this is yes, Celine is cheaper in Hawaii but it depends on the item. Unlike Gucci or Saint Laurent, Celine does not have an overall percentage discount across the store. Instead, the special Hawaii pricing is dependent on the item. Savings can range anywhere from 2%-16% from what I’ve found out in my research.

 

What is the Sales Tax in Hawaii?

Currently, the sales tax in Honolulu is 4.5%. This is as least half of the tax that I would have to spend back in Los Angeles so it’s already a win for me. If you live in Portland or another place that does not have a sales tax, you can always ship the item to your address and they will honor the 0% sales tax. Be aware though that a shipping fee may apply.

I literally met one of the nicest sales associates ever! As some of you know, they are really hard to find so I was really happy that she was willing to show me items.
