Where to Drink: The Chandelier Bar Review

How can you go to Las Vegas and not go to the famous Chandelier Bar? I’ve been to this bar a handful of times but this last trip was the first time I did research for the blog. This is undoubtedly the most famous bar in Las Vegas and I might even argue the world. The bar is made up of three levels: Level 1 (Ground Floor), Level 1.5, and Level 2 and is surrounded by approximately two million crystals. Each level has its own menu so you can literally bar hop all within the same bar. Or you can just lounge around in one of its many comfy booths and just people-watch all day.

The Chandelier Bar Location

The Chandelier Bar is located inside the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas Hotel. It’s located in the middle of the casino and has a purple hue to it. There’s no way you can miss it.

Hours of Operation

The Chandelier Bar is made up of three levels and each level has its own set of hours so make sure you take note. For reference, Level 1 is the ground floor. The only way to get to Level 1.5 is taking the stairs or elevator from Level 1 or Level 2.

What Time Should You Go?

Since The Chandelier Bar is practically 24 hours, any time is a good time to go! It is the largest bar I have ever been to and there are always seats available on at least one of the three levels. If you want to sit at the bar counter though, it might be a little more difficult since each counter has limited seats. If you wait long enough though, there will always be someone leaving.

What Did We Order?

One thing that you should know that is special about The Chandelier Bar is that each level has its own menu! I had no idea until our last trip and I’ve been going to this bar forever. Below are the links to the menu of each level if you want to take a sneak peek.

Since we sat on Level 1.5 the last time, I ordered the Natural Selection (left picture) and it was fantastic! The ingredients were super intriguing to me and I had to try it. I seriously think I found my new favorite drink. It is on the sweeter side and is more of a sipping/dessert cocktail rather than a getting-drunk cocktail. If you like Southeast Asian flavors, I think you will really enough this cocktail too.

My friend got the namesake Cosmopolitan cocktail (right picture). This is usually my go-to cocktail when I come to this bar. I never knew a Cosmo can taste this good and it’s because they use fresh and unique ingredients. I was so impressed by this drink that I try to recreate it for a Friendsgiving one year. You can find the recipe here if you are interested in making it too.

Now, if you are looking for the famous cocktail that makes your tongue go numb, that cocktail is called the Verbena. It’s not on the menu anymore but you can still order it. It’s a citrus tequila-based cocktail, but what’s memorable about it is the Sichan flower that they serve with it. You are instructed to eat the flower first before you take a sip of the drink. It’s supposed to numb your tongue in a way that will elevate your tastebuds. I’ve tried it a couple of times myself and it’s always a great drink to get the conversation started especially for people who have never tried it before. I highly recommended you try it at least once!

Cocktails vs. Wine

If you know me, I love love love wine! Wine is always my go-to drink. I rarely order cocktails, but if I’m visiting The Chandelier Bar, I always order cocktails rather than wine. Their beer & wine menu is just okay which makes me kind of sad for it being such a great bar. Their cocktail program is so strong here that I wanted their wines to be just as amazing. But hey, maybe they’ll update the list in the future.

Customer Service

I would say that the type of customer service you will receive just depends on who you get. I’ve gotten some amazing servers and bartenders and at other times, they seemed like they just wanted to get out of there. I get it though. You’re probably dealing with drunk people all day, but with that being said, you are working in Las Vegas after all. Either way, in the end, you’ll get a fantastic drink and a gorgeous ambiance no matter what.

OOTD

Some of you on my Instagram asked where I got my dress from so I thought I would post it to the blog post! Just FYI though, my dress size is XS and is the color black, but it looks like there are only navy, chocolate, and burgundy now.

Overall Review of The Chandelier Bar

This is one of the few bars that I will definitely keep coming to. Since each level has its own menu, it’s my goal to try every single cocktail. I love that they always change their menu so there’s always something new to try. They also used liquors and ingredients that I never heard of before so it makes me feel like I won’t be able to get this cocktail anywhere else. I absolutely hate going to a bar and paying $20 for a cocktail that I can easily make myself. If you want an amazing atmosphere with a memorable drink, The Chandelier Bar is definitely where you need to go.
