Chase LHRC Las Vegas Benefits Ending

This is a sad day because it looks like Chase LHRC (Luxury Hotel and Resort Collection) is getting rid of its amazing Las Vegas hotel benefits. The Chase LHRC is a special hotel-perk program that is available to most Chase credit cardholders. I’m a big fan of Chase LHRC because they have a wider range of hotels than the American Express Fine Hotels and Resorts program. Especially when booking a hotel in Las Vegas.

Chase LHRC and Las Vegas Hotels

The Chase Luxury Hotel and Resort Collection has the MGM Grand, Park MGM, and Mandalay Bay in their portfolio which are considered middle-tier hotels and are usually at a lower price point. Because of this, the $100 amenity benefit that you get is super lucrative because it can sometimes cover all of your hotel stay. On top of that, the price that Chase LHRC gives you includes all of those pesky resort fees already (unlike Amex Fine Hotels and Resorts) so what you see is actually what you pay.

That’s why booking the Park MGM, MGM Grand, and Mandalay Bay through Chase LHRC has always been a favorite mine. Historically during the holidays, the price falls under the $100/night mark which means that your $100 F&B credit that you get will cover the hotel room. That’s also not counting the $30/person breakfast credit or the early check-in/late check-out benefits.

Changes Being Made to the Chase LHRC and Las Vegas Hotels

As I was doing some research on where to stay in Las Vegas for our upcoming December trip, I decided to see what the prices were showing for January for some reason. That’s when I saw it! The benefits have significantly changed from what I was seeing this year to what is being offered next year. To be honest, it’s pretty sad. Every single Las Vegas hotel has changed but let’s concentrate on the three that I mentioned before for simplicity’s sake.

What Are the Changes?

As you can see, the major changes are the F&B credit benefit and the breakfast credit benefit. Until the end of this year, you can get a $100 F&B credit along with a $30/person breakfast credit. Even if you stay for one night, you get all of it! Starting next year though, it seems they have significantly reduced the credit and now have spread it across multiple days. The really crazy part is that it’s doesn’t even equal the original $100 F&B credit. You would have to stay three days to get a $75-$90 F&B credit now. Also, the breakfast credit is cut by half from the original $30/person to only now $15/person.

Conclusion

This is truly a sad day since this is one of my all-time favorite perks of using the Chase Luxury Hotel and Resort collection over the Amex Fine Hotels and Resorts. I might have to go back to using Amex since it doesn’t look like their benefits have changed and still honor the $100 amenity benefit. On top of that, Amex just added Resorts World to their portfolio which gives them an edge over Chase now.

At this point, make sure you tell all your friends that have access to the Chase LHRC so you can all at least enjoy the benefits until the end of this year. I know I’m going to try to use this as much as possible before the switch.
