Welcome to the January 2022 Dior Hawaii Pricing Guide! If you’ve been following my stories on Instagram, you probably already know that I was just in Oahu, Hawaii and my first stop was the Dior store. My lovely SA told me that there was going to be a price increase soon so I made sure to pay a visit right after I checked into the hotel. Well, I’m so glad I did because there was only one belt left in the size that I was looking for. On top, the store just got the belt in that morning and the group literally right next to us was looking for the same belt and size!

Luckily, my SA snatched it up first so I was able to get my belt! It’s always a good rule of thumb to do your luxury shopping at the beginning of the trip. Don’t wait until the last day to go shopping because they might not have your item in stock. If you do your shopping at the beginning of the trip, then your SA has time to be on the lookout for your item or even order it for you so it gets to the store in time before you leave Hawaii.

 

 

2022 Important Update: Dior Prices Increase and No More Tax-Free Benefit

There are two major important updates for the Dior Hawaii store in Waikiki. First, there will be a price increase starting January 18. 2022. My SA doesn’t know how much it’ll be but she knows it’ll going to be on everything and nationwide, including Hawaii. As a result, everything I’m about to post on this blog will be before the price increase so for anyone who is reading this after January 18th, the prices will not be accurate.

Second, the Dior in Waikiki will be moving out of the T Galleria by DFS building and into the Luxury Row building. Why is this important? Because the T Galleria is a duty-free building which means that Dior had absolutely no tax on their goods. Once they move, the tax-free benefit will no longer apply and you will have to pay the usual Hawaii tax of 4.5%. The move-in date is slated to be on January 21, 2022, if all goes well with the building inspection. If not, then of course the move-in date will be pushed back.

Update (1/16/2022): Literally hours after I posted this, my SA informed me that the Dior Waikiki will be now adding tax starting on 1/18/2022. Yes, the same day as the price increase. So, if you’re in Oahu the next couple of days, make sure you head on over to the Dior store as soon as possible!

 

Is it Cheaper to Buy Dior in Hawaii?

If this is your first time reading the blog, you might not know that Hawaii has special pricing on almost all luxury brand names. Through my research this time around, it looks like Dior Hawaii has their pricing set anywhere between 5%-11% lower than the Mainland U.S. This is NOT an outlet store. This is a true retail store just like any other retail store you would find back at home.

 

What is the Sales Tax in Hawaii?

Up until January 21, 2022, there will be no sales tax on Dior goods. Once Dior moves buildings, the usual Hawaii tax will apply of approximately 4.5%.

Update 1/16/2022: As I mentioned above, it looks like Dior Waikiki will start adding Hawaii tax the same day as the price increase on 1/18/2022. Hurry and get down to the store!

 

Does Dior Waikiki Ship to Other States?

I actually get this question a lot. Yes, Dior Waikiki does ship to other states but it will cost you $60 in shipping fees since it is coming from Hawaii after all. Secondly, you will have to pay your local tax. So, if you are getting something shipped to Los Angeles, you will have to pay the Los Angeles sales tax. You do not get the benefit of the Hawaii tax.
